Workshops

Our Azure, M365 and identity workshops provide the perfect opportunity for clients to evaluate Microsoft technologies. Workshops start with a discovery process where your business objectives are reviewed. Your proof of concept design is then created and a working implementation is developed and demonstrated with data in your environment.

As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, ActiveIdM may have access to Microsoft client funding which can cover the cost of the workshop, providing the workshop to you at no cost.

Duration: 2 weeks

This workshop helps customers looking to enhance their cloud security posture by reviewing the existing environment and applying best practices to Azure Conditional Access Policies.

Conditional Access policies at their simplest are if-then statements – if a user wants to access a resource, then they must complete an action. Example: A payroll manager wants to access the payroll application and is required to perform multi-factor authentication to access it.

Administrators are faced with two primary goals:
• Empower users to be productive wherever and whenever
• Protect the organization’s assets

This workshop and Proof-of-Concept helps customers looking to centralize their authentication (identity & security) and provide cost savings from existing Okta deployments.

Identity and Authentication POCs help to begin the process of migrating applications off Okta and move to Azure integration.  The initial POC and focus of this engagement will be the Office365/Azure authentication replacement and one (1) 3rd Party SAML integrated application.

Administrators should look forward to these primary goals:

  • Setup Pass-Through Authentication (PTA) Staged Rollout POC
  • Setup PTA agents on-premise on two (2) member servers
  • Setup Azure pilot user group to leverage PTA migration on the existing federated domain. Initial POC to include up-to 30 users
  • Setup one (1) SAML integration 3rd party application migration from Okta to Azure for 10-30 users
  • Review of current state of federation, Azure applications, and end user authentication flow experience.
  • Review AADConnect and features deployed

Provide Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS) decommissioning planning and implementation support, including up-to 5 applications. Enablement of staged rollout of Pass-through Authentication (PTA) to allow for direct Azure authentication and application testing. Focus for ADFS relying party changes will be on Office365 connectivity.

Workshop style sessions to provide solution overview and training, identify key application dependencies, communication to end-users, testing, and deployment considerations.

Twice weekly technical touchpoints with key stakeholders, and weekly project dashboard meetings to track progress, blockers, and planned activities.

ActiveIdM will perform requirement, scope, and high-level design workshop meetings in support of the clients’ Identity Management project initiatives.  The goal of the workshop is to capture general user lifecycle requirements, review existing identity management tools deployed, and create recommendation documents for a Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) architecture and design.  This may include capitalizing on existing Identity software for interim migrations and/or long-term coexistence.

The documentation will focus on the requirements, Sprint 1 implementation, an identity roadmap, and review the timing of Identity Management initiatives with the current IT projects.
